Arrow Group Ltd, t/a the Queally Group, is one of Ireland's largest privately-owned agri-businesses, and is controlled by brothers Peter, Michael and John Queally.
Arrow Group Ltd is a holding company, operating through its subsidiaries. Its businesses mainly comprise pig slaughtering, meat processing, trading and distribution. It is also involved in the production of a range of food and beverage value-added products, the manufacture and distribution of pet foods; commercial property development; a sewage treatment firm; all-weather football pitches; a majority stake in Glenpatrick Spring Water Company Ltd, a plastic bottle manufacturing arm; and a water distribution company based in Barcelona.[1][2]

Ownership

Peter and John Queally set up Dawn Meats with partner Dan Browne in 1980. Shares are split amongst family members, with majority ownership having resided until recently in IMMOL Ltd,[3] a British Virgin Islands company.[4][5]

The majority of the group's subsidiaries are unlimitedWikipedia-W.svg, which means they do not have to file accounts, and thus offer great secrecy. The strategic use of tax havens such as the Isle of Man and Luxembourg also help to cloak the enterprise's owners - and its true profits.
The Queally Group stands out for its astonishing secretiveness; every possible filing exemption has been made in order to avoid as much disclosure as possible, despite its being in receipt of very juicy grants from the Irish govt, the UK govt, and the EU.
