- Jun.23.2018: MP threatens to publish full BHS report. Sir Philip Green’s legal battle to stop a “highly prejudicial” report about the accounts of BHS being published could be in vain after Frank Field threatened to publish it in full. Mr Field, the MP who chaired the parliamentary inquiry into the collapse of BHS, said that he could use parliamentary privilege to publish the report if Sir Philip was successful in forcing regulators to redact it. Parliamentary privilege grants MPs legal immunity for actions or statements made in the course of their legislative duties. The report, by the Financial Reporting Council, is the subject of a legal challenge by Taveta Investments, Sir Philip’s family company. Tabby Kinder, The Times.
