  • Nov.2018: Sky plc was acquired, and delisted after becoming a wholly owned subsidiary and division of Comcast.ref
  • Aug.2016: DreamWorks Animation was acquired by Comcast's NBCUniversal division.ref,ref,ref Universal Pictures took over distribution of DreamWorks Animation films beginning in 2019.
  • Feb.2014: Time Warner Cable Inc was not acquired by Comcast Corporation. The merger between two of the largest cable TV companies in the world was announced on Feb.13, and was approved by shareholders, regulatory approval was not forthcoming.ref In Apr.2015, Comcast officially announced that it had called off the merger, after it was reported that the U.S. Department of Justice was preparing to file an antitrust lawsuit against Comcast and Time Warner in a bid to halt the merger, arguing that the merger would reduce the level of competition in the cable television and broadband internet industries.refrefref
