The decision to go public is not driven by a sudden desire to cash in and splash out a little bit — he is reluctantly selling a slice of merely 3 per cent — but to raise the profile of the business and to allow Invesco, its large institutional holder, to sell nearly half of its holding, bringing it down to 25%.
