Dole Food Company is a privately-held American multinational corporation, operating in 90+ countries, and is one of the world's largest producers of fresh fruit and vegetables. Dole markets its produce to supermarkets, mass merchandisers, wholesalers, and food service operators. Dole Ocean Cargo Express, the company's shipping line of owned and chartered vessels, transports produce between the USA, Europe and Latin America.

Rebrand: Dole Food Company unveiled a new logo and brand identity for all its products, including salads and other items from Dole Fresh Vegetables.[1]
Total Produce plc acquired a 45% equity stake in Dole Food Company from owner David Murdock. The transaction completed after the European Commission gave its approval.[2] However, for antitrust reasons, the EU required Total Produce to sell its Nordic business Saba Fresh Cuts AB in Sweden, and Saba Fresh Cuts OY in Finalnd, to Bama-Gruppen AS, Norway's largest private distributor of fruit and vegetables.[3]
