The Wallenberg Foundations is the collective name for the public and private foundations that either have been founded by members of the Wallenberg family or in honour of family members. The Foundations grant funding to researchers and research projects beneficial to Sweden, and have granted SEK 31 bn since 1917.

Wallenberg Foundations AB administers all the Wallenberg Foundations, their activies, asset management, and ownership management. The Investment Committee is the ultimate forum where the major strategic decisions are taken, and has ultimate responsibility. As well as family members, the Investment Committee also works with a number of Senior Advisors.
The total value of the companies that the Foundations delegate is ~SEK 300 bn, and the operations span worldwide.[1]

FAM AB (Foundation Asset Management) is a privately-owned holding company that manages assets as an active owner with a long-term ownership horizon. It is owned by the 3 largest Wallenberg foundations,[2] which have delegated responsibility for the management of their directly-owned assets to Wallenberg Foundations AB's Investment Committee.

Investor AB was founded in 1916 as a holding company to take over Stockholm Enskilda Bank's holdings, due to a new law restricting banks from owning shares.[3] Since then, it has evolved in step with globalisation and changing capital markets.

Patricia Industries was formed to focus on unlisted investments in the Nordics and in North America.[4] Its portfolio also includes Financial Investments, stemming from former venture capital arm "Investor Growth Capital".[5] [6]
