Research for Action is a workers’ co-operative that produces research to support social, economic and environmental justice issues and campaigns. Founded in Feb.2017, the organisation aims to develop independent, meaningful research which would be useful for furthering social, economic and environmental justice, and do so in a sustainable way.

Through in-depth investigations into vested interests and corporate power as well as researching alternative economic and democratic models, Research for Action produces informative, reliable and accessible material for the general public, the media, civil society and grassroots organisations to help strengthen their activities in bringing about long lasting change.

Funding

We were awarded a grant by the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust which is enabling us to undertake a citizen debt audit in Newham. The project builds on the previous work we did at Debt Resistance UK on Financial Services Industry § LOBO loans. ref
