Local Partnerships LLP is joint venture owned by HM Treasury, the Local Government Association and the Welsh Government. Established in 2009. It brings together a team of leading edge experts solely for the benefit of the public sector and the delivery of public services and infrastructure.
Working to help the public sector deliver locally, the organisation's strategic position in the landscape of national and local government helps those it works with to get a unique insight into current best practice and market intelligence from across the UK and avoid making the mistakes others have made.
It is funded by a mix of money 'top-sliced' from local authorities' Revenue Support Grant (RSG) payments from the UK govt, grant funding from UK govt departments, and fee income from chargeable services.

Fred Maroudas, Director of Funding for Network Rail, helped establish Partnerships UK as a PPP.ref
